Grizzlies Select Basketball Association (GSBA) is an organization dedicated to the development of young athletes for future Glacier Peak High School basketball teams. There is one team at each 4th - 8th grade level for boys and girls. 

The GSBA program is designed for players who are ready for a step up from recreational basketball but who may not be seeking the year-round commitment of club teams. With a strong emphasis on player development, we focus on teaching fundamentals, building basketball IQ, and developing confidence in a positive, competitive environment. Practices and games are structured to prioritize learning, effort, and consistent improvement. Playing time is earned through commitment, attitude, and application of skills - not guaranteed or equal. This program is about developing well‑rounded players who love the game and are prepared for the next level, wherever that may be.

• Practices: begin early October through mid March.
• League Play: December through the first week of March.
• Tournaments: teams will participate in Washington Middle School State Championships qualifier tournaments throughout the season. 

Our Mission:
GSBA will provide a positive environment of growth for athletes in 4th - 8th grade, who demonstrate advanced physical basketball skills and a positive attitude. With a focus on the following:

• Positive sportsmanship
• Teamwork
• Strong work ethic

Eligibility: 

GSBA players must live within the boundaries of Glacier Peak High School or attend a feeder elementary/middle school. Feeder schools include; Cathcart, Little Cedars, Seattle Hill, Totem Falls and Valley View Middle School.

3rd graders will not be allowed to playup for the 4th grade team. 

If you do not attend one of the above feeder schools or live within the boundaries of Glacier Peak High School, you will not be allowed to tryout. Email [email protected] for questions. 

Fees:

• Team fees for 2026/27 GSBA season is $800.00 (check) $825.00 (Paypal) per player; Multi-player discount of $100 per player, for players from the same family
• New players will need to purchase a uniform kit. 
• You are required to purchase an AAU Membership before practice begins (1 year standard with extended benefits - $20)
