What is Grizzlies Select Basketball?
Grizzlies Select Basketball Association (GSBA) is an organization dedicated to the development of young athletes for future Glacier Peak High School basketball teams. There is one team at each 4th - 8th grade level for both boys and girls. Our season runs from the beginning of October through the first week of March.
Our Mission:
The Grizzlies Select Basketball Association will provide a positive environment of growth for athletes in 4th - 8th grade, who demonstrate advanced physical basketball skills and a positive mental attitude. With a focus on the following:
The program will partner with knowledgeable community members and school coaches to help develop athletes with potential for state level competitive play by their high school years. GSBA is a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers.
Eligibility:
Eligible players must live within the boundaries of Glacier Peak High School. Feeder schools include Cathcart, Little Cedars, Seattle Hill, Totem Falls and Valley View Middle School. For questions, please email us gsbahoops@gmail.com
Player Commitment:
You will be expected to be dedicated to the team, work hard at practice and attend all practices, games and tournaments.
Parent Involvement:
We need your committment getting your player to practices and games on time. Also, supporting your child in a positive manner.
Financial Expense:
The fee for the 2024/25 GSBA season is $750.00 per player; $1,300.00 for two (2) or more players from the same family.
AAU Membership:
You are required to purchase an AAU Membership for your player (minimum GSBA requirement is 1 year standard with extended benefits - $20) which is needed before your player can practice or compete in games.
Concussion Form:
All parents and players must read, understand and sign the Concussion Form before participating in any GSBA Event.
